I've posted a few videos with the latest mind-boggling stats on social media and the digital revolution. Consider this the latest installment. It may not convince you that social media is the right solution for YOUR brand or ease your anxiety about investing ion something you do not entirely understand. But I hope it brings you one step closer to accepting two truths: 1. Social media is a trend not a fad and 2. It is a far more risky strategy for companies to remain inactive in this space than to engage.

By the way, this video was released to promote a new book (Socialnomics by Erik Qualman). Since it was released on July 30th, the video has received over 10,000 views a day. 7,738 blogs posts have been written on the book (+this one), the book is available in hardcover for $24.95 in stores, $16.47 online via Amazon or downloaded via Kindle for $9.99.  How do you suppose those digital tactics are effecting the book sales?
